Configure your Kniggendorf outdoor solution and connect it with Tjekvik software

These steps are to be followed once you have set up the power and data connection and physically installed the Kniggendorf unit. For assistance installing the machine follow this guide.

To connect your Kniggendorf machine to the internet you will require the below details which can be provided by your IT team.

  • 1 x Static IP address per machine

  • Subnet mask

  • Default gateway

Once these details have been provided follow these steps:

  1. Confirm the Kniggendorf machine is correctly connected to your network via a network cable as mentioned in this setup guide

  2. On the screen enter your administrator PIN number and open the master menu

  3. Go into network configuration, this is on the second page accessible by pressing the next button

  4. Press change settings

  5. Enter the static IP address, subnet mask and default gateway. The server IP and ports are pre-populated and should not be changed.

  6. Press the finished key once done.

You can perform a network test using the “Test” button in the Network menu. The following is carried out in this process:

  1. Testing the WLAN connection [only for WLAN module]

  2. Testing the availability of the gateway / router (4 pings are transmitted)

  3. Testing the availability of the server (4 pings are transmitted)

  4. Sending a status message to the server with one of the following responses:
