SAFETY FIRST! ALWAYS TURN YOUR KIOSK OFF BEFORE ANY WORK IS STARTED AND UNPLUG FROM THE WALL.

Remember to disable your alarm in the Dashboard if it is enabled.

  1. Unlock the rear bottom door using the key provided.

  2. Unscrew the two nuts from the protective cover (below the PC).

  3. Then move the cover left and pull upwards to remove (this can be tricky).

  4. Some kiosks look like this:

And some have a flange fitted (yellow box below) to hold a cover plate over the connections:

  5. If you do not have this flange, you can remove these 2 screws and the switch panel can be pulled forward (or pushed from the inside)

  6. If you do have this flange, remove the 2 screws shown in step 5, and then you will need to remove these screws to get the switch panel past the flange:

  7. Pull the Power/Network panel outward (or push from the inside) so it looks like this:

  8. Unscrew the two nuts holding in the extension cable and pull out from the back.

  9. Unplug the other end of the Network Extension from the PC.

  10. The old Network Extension will be bundled with several other cables. This can be left as a bundle and the new Network Extension can run alongside the bundle.

  11. Plug the new Network Extension into the PC. If you do not have the flange above the connections, you can attach the new Network Extension lead to the panel (green arrows), then screw the Power/Network Panel back in place.

If your kiosk has this flange, move the plate back into position, past the flange:

Then you can screw in the USB port and new Network Extension port.

And then screw the switch plate to the kiosk:

  12. Re-attach the protective cover back into place with the nuts.

Well done! Your Network Extension cable has been changed!
