NOTE: To ensure the replacement screen is compatible with your kiosk, please take a photo and send with your Support case.
To access the front of the kiosk, follow the steps below:
Before opening your kiosk, always check the alarm has been disabled. For information on how to disable/enable your alarm, check out this article. Alarm - Tjekvik Outdoor kiosk | Tjekvik Help Center
Remove the triangle screws from the front plate with the screwdriver provided.
Use your secure key to open the front door. There is a rubber weatherproof seal around this door which can make it difficult to turn the key. Press the door closed to make it easier to turn the key (this can be a 2-person job)
When the door is open, isolate the power to the kiosk by flipping the blue switch on the circuit breaker (red circle below).
To replace the screen, follow the steps below:
Once the cabinet front is open, disconnect the USB, power and video connections from faulty screen.
If your kiosk has a light sensor board (in yellow box below), unplug that wire as well.
Then you can remove the 10 nuts (red circles above) that hold the screen to the kiosk door. Keep these safe as you will use them again. Start by removing the bottom nuts and have someone with you to hold the screen from falling.
If the replacement screen was not supplied with 4 mounting brackets attached, you will need to remove the brackets from the faulty screen and attach to the new screen.
Now you can attach the new screen using the same 10 nuts from Step 3.
Then connect the USB, power and video cables to the replacement screen.
If your kiosk has a light sensor board (from Step 2), plug that small cable into the board.
When everything is connected, turn kiosk on to check the replacement screen is working. You will need to turn the power on again using the blue circuit breaker switch (red circle below). If the PC does not start up immediately, you will need to press the Restart button (green box below) on the top of the PC.
If the new screen is working, you can now close the kiosk door. As before, this may need some pressure as you turn the key. Turn anti-clockwise to lock (red arrow)
Enable alarm (if required) and your kiosk is ready to use again.
