This article will show you how to disable the alarm or turn it off if it is already sounding.
We recommend that your alarm is always enabled when the kiosk is being used normally.
To ensure the security of your outdoor kiosk:
The alarm has been enabled on all new outdoor kiosks.
The alarm is very loud and will sound at 120dB.
The alarm will sound if the back door or front panel (holding the screen) are opened.
This will happen even if these are opened correctly using keys or PIN codes.
If an alarm goes off, follow the steps below. Once you have done this, it may take up to 15 seconds for the alarm to stop.
If you need to access the top compartment or the rear of the terminal, you MUST disable the alarm first.
To disable (and then enable) the alarm:
In Appointment Manager, click on Terminals
Find the Outdoor kiosk you want to open and click to Turn off Alarm
Now it shows the alarm has been disabled, and you can open the top compartment or rear door of the terminal.
When you are done, close the cabinet securely, then go back into Appointment Manager and Turn the Alarm on again.
You will see the button change and your alarm is enabled again.
