Before doing this repair, please make sure you turn off the alarm (if enabled), and turn off power in the kiosk.

Instructions for both procedures can be found HERE

Installation Procedure

Accessing the Mechanical Locks

Depending on your kiosk, to access the lockers, you will have to open the inner door with the same unique key that opened the back door and top door, or remove the additional security plate shown below (keep these screws to use later):

Layout of kiosk interior

Every locker has a EN-lock and a Mechanical lock. In the image below, the lockers are numbered from 1 to 10, with the EN-lock (in yellow below), and the Mechanical lock (in green). The lockerboard is mounted to the top (in red circle).

TWO ways the Mechanical Lock is mounted in the kiosk.

If this is your view of the Mechanical Locks, go to Section 1.

If this is your view of the Mechanical Locks, go to Section 2.

Section 1: Replacing the Mechanical Lock

  1. Release the Mechanical lock by pressing the lever at the bottom (red arrow), then remove the 3 screws that hold the lock in place (red circles). Be careful not to drop these screws and keep them safe to reuse later.

  2. When the Mechanical Lock is detached, you can disconnect the cables. Follow the 2 cables and carefully cut any cable ties before the connectors.

  3. When the cables are free, you can disconnect the connection by squeezing the connector like this:

  4. Then plug in the new Mechanical Lock to the same connectors, ensuring a good fit.

  5. Using the 3 screws from Step 1, attach the new Mechanical Lock

  6. Replace any cable ties to ensure there are no loose wires that could interfere with the operation of the kiosk.

  7. Turn the kiosk and UPS on to restart the kiosk. With the rear door open, perform tests to open the new locker. If the locker is working correctly, please contact [email protected] to let us know and we will enable this locker for use again.

  8. If there is any problem with the locker you have repaired, please send a video of a working locker, and the locker you have just repaired and send to [email protected]

Section 2: Replacing the Mechanical Lock

If the Mechanical Lock is facing you, then the screws to attach it are not facing you. Because the screws are on the opposite side, the locker assembly will need to be removed.

The picture below shows the locker box assembly for locker #5:

  1. The Mechanical Lock and EN-lock are attached to this locker box, so they will need to be disconnected beforehand.

    1. The picture on the left shows how the EN-lock is attached. Carefully disconnect this cable. (in some models, there will be 2 cables)

    2. The Mechanical Lock has 2 cable connections. You need to release these as shown below before you can disconnect these.

  2. After these cables are disconnected, you can remove the locker assembly. To do this, you will need to remove the 6 or 7 nuts as shown below (6 or 7 depending on model of kiosk). Be careful when removing these nuts as they can be easily dropped and lost. Keep these nuts safe to be reused later.

The pictures below do not show all locations, but the centre image shows the approximate locations of all nuts in relation to the locker box assembly.

  3. When all nuts have been removed, and all cables disconnected, the locker box assembly can be removed from the kiosk.

  4. Looking at the locker box assembly from the front, you can see the 3 screws that hold the Mechanical Lock in place.

  5. Remove these 3 screws, and put them aside to be used later. Hold the lever up to unlock the Mechanical Lock and the lock can be removed in a sideways direction.

  6. Use the same screws from last step, attach the new Mechanical Lock in a sideways direction.

  7. The locker box assembly can now be reattached to the kiosk with the 6 or 7 nuts from Step 2.

  8. Attach the cables for the EN-Lock and new Mechanical Lock (removed in Step 1)

  9. Replace any cable ties to ensure there are no loose wires that could interfere with the operation of the kiosk.

  10. Turn the kiosk and UPS on to restart the kiosk. With the rear door open, perform tests to open the new locker. If the locker is working correctly, please contact [email protected] to let us know and we will enable this locker for use again.

  11. If there is any problem with the locker you have repaired, please send a video of a working locker, and the locker you have just repaired and send to [email protected]
