First, shut down your indoor kiosk by pressing the round restart button for approximately 5 seconds (green or silver button), then switch off the main power at the red switch.

Tools required

You will need a 7mm socket with an extending reach. For example:

Replacing the touchscreen on your Indoor Kiosk

  1. Go to your Appointment Manager, then go into the Terminals area

  2. If your alarm is on, you will need to turn it off.

This shows the alarm is ON. Click once to turn it off.

  3. Now it is RED, and the alarm is OFF:

  4. Open the back doors of your kiosk. You will see 12 nuts that hold the screen in place.

  5. And 2 nuts that hold the alarm sensor in place. Remove these nuts first and detach the alarm sensor for better access to the screen. (leave this hanging loose for now)

  6. Detach the connections on the touchscreen.

  7. And then remove the nuts holding the screen in place. Remove the yellow ones first, then remove the red ones when you have someone who can hold the screen. There are notches in the frame of the kiosk to give access to the bottom 3 nuts (green arrows below). Remove the screen carefully when the red nuts have been removed.

  8. With someone holding the new screen in place, use the same nuts to attach the new screen. Start at the top, then fit the bottom nuts, then do the nuts on the sides.

  9. When the new screen is fitted, re-attach the alarm sensor to the right side with the 2 nuts.

  10. Re-attach the 3 connections shown here.

  11. Make sure the large VGA connector (blue here) is firmly connected and is not attached at an angle.

  12. Turn on the main power again. If the kiosk does not start up, press the round restart button for 1-2 seconds until you hear the kiosk starting up.

  13. Check the screen is working correctly and responds to touch. If the screen is blurry, check the VGA connection is firmly attached. Check at the screen and also at the PC, it is labelled here:

  14. If it is working correctly now, close the rear doors on the kiosk and enable the alarm again (if it was enabled before)
