First of all, make sure to disable the internal alarm and power down your Outdoor kiosk. Instructions can be found HERE.

The kit to add an alarm relay contains the following:

How to add the alarm relay

  1. Locate the siren socket on the Lockerboard.

The relay will be attached to the Lockerboard which is located inside the rear of the kiosk, at the top:

On the left side, you can see the large black serial cable (in yellow box) that attaches to the Lockerboard.

This image shows the board without wires, for a better view. The yellow box below shows where the large black serial cable plugs into the Lockerboard. The siren cable socket you need to find for this alarm relay is next to it, shown in the red box.

Here is the view from below the board, looking up, showing these 2 sockets

  2. Now that you have located the siren socket, carefully disconnect that cable, the siren cable.

  3. Take the siren cable you have disconnected from the Lockerboard, and connect to the small Relay board (red square below). Then use the small cable that came in the kit and connect the small cable to the empty socket on the Lockerboard and the other end to the Relay board (yellow squares below)

  4. This is a simpler view of the connections:

  5. In the kit, you would have received a long cable. This plugs into the Relay board here:

  6. The long cable goes from the small Relay Board, down to the bottom of the kiosk. This goes through the hole (red circle) at the bottom of the cabinet, with the network and power cables, like this:

  7. Open the rear access panel at the bottom of the kiosk:

  8. You should find the long cable you passed down, in the round shaft:

  9. As with power and network cables, this is the area where you make connections (the network cable connection is in the red circle). Feed your security wire up into this round shaft and connect to the wire coming down from the Relay board (green arrows below). Replace the access panel when done.

  10. To secure the Relay board, unscrew one of the screws that holds the Lockerboard, then mount the Relay board like this:

  11. Power the kiosk back on, close the rear door, then enable the alarm.

  12. When you have discussed with the security company, trigger the alarm by opening the rear door of the cabinet. The alarm will sound and the security company should know the alarm has been triggered.
