How to replace power socket and wires in the circuit breaker (Outdoor kiosk)

Remove the screws and open the bottom access panel at the back of the kiosk and find the main power cable. (keep the screws for later)

Unplug this cable:

Turn off all power. Push the blue switch DOWN on the Circuit breaker and turn off the UPS.

Note: the images below are from a kiosk with the blue switch up. Ignore this position. Please keep the blue switch down until the final step.

Remove the Cover Panel for better access (keep the screws for later)

Unplug the existing power cable from the socket going into the bottom of the Circuit Breaker box. (red arrow below)

Loosen (do not remove) the 5 screws shown in red circles below. The screw holding the green/yellow cable is not visible in this photo. It is just to the left of the circuit breaker, attached to the box itself.

Now you can remove the wires shown here with yellow arrows (viewed from above):

Under the box, remove the 2 screws that hold the socket to the bottom of the Circuit Breaker box (keep the screws for later), then remove the socket.

Install the new socket using the screws from Step 7

Connect the shrouded ends of the new wires to the new socket as shown here. The end of the yellow/green wire is held in place with the screw at the back of the box.

Connect the ends of the blue and red wires to the top of the Circuit Breaker as shown here:

When all wires are in place, tighten the screws at the front (red circles) and Gently pull each one upward to check all of the new connections are firm and secure.

Reattach the front panel using the screws from Step 3

Plug in the power cable into the new socket.

In the bottom access panel, reconnect the main power cable, then screw the cover panel back in place.

Then you can turn on the main power using the blue switch on the Circuit Breaker by switching UP, and turn on the UPS.

If the PC does not start up, you will need to press the restart button on the PC until you hear a beep, then let go and the kiosk will start up.
